Position Summary:

ultrainnovative – Tackle rare and dynamic challenges

Data Steward and IT Liaison to oversee and optimize HCP data & management processes. This role ensures the accuracy, quality, and integration of key data sets, including HCP/HCO data in Commercial and Medical Veeva CRMs. The individual will work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, including commercial, medical IT, local country clusters, and business operations, to meet evolving data needs. The Data Steward will play a critical role in enabling efficient data processes, aligning zip-to-territory data, and ensuring compliance with HCP consent management requirements

This role is designed to be a critical enabler of data-driven decisions at Ultragenyx, ensuring the seamless integration and management of key commercial data assets.

Work Model: 

Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

 

Responsibilities:

Data Management:

  • Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of commercial and medical data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage HCP/HCO data across CRM systems, ensuring robust and compliant data processes.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with local cluster teams, marketing, IT, and business operations to understand data needs and provide solutions that align with reporting and operational goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between commercial and IT teams to ensure consistent data usage and integration across functions.

Data Integration and Alignment:

  • Lead initiatives to optimize existing data sets and ensure successful integration of new data sources.
  • Oversee zip-to-territory alignments and support field team alignments for data-driven decisions.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor the quality of commercial data through regular audits, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies or issues.
  • Implement processes to continuously improve data accuracy and integrity.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and recommend process enhancements in data collection, management, and reporting to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Work with IT and business operations teams to automate and streamline reporting processes.

HCP Consent Management:

  • Manage and ensure compliance with HCP consent policies, coordinating with legal and regulatory teams to align data processes with organizational standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data management, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial and Medical CRM systems and data integration processes.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve data quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for HCP data and consent management.
  • Proficiency in data management tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and regions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Veeva, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of zip-to-territory alignment tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Prior experience in managing cross-functional projects in a global environment. #LI-CK1 #LI-Hybrid
