PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (not an exhaustive list)

Data Management & Analysis:

  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data to generate insights for Consumer Finance operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PowerBI dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics.
  • Prepare and manage data for multi-channel campaigns, including dialer, SMS, email, and post.

System Administration:

  • Oversee and manage databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Support the integration of data from various sources into PowerBI and other reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and update data systems to ensure alignment with business needs.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Develop and prepare detailed statistical analyses and reports on Consumer Finance operations, including campaign effectiveness, performance KPIs, and quality monitoring.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities from data analyses, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver month-end reports within required deadlines.

Process Improvement & Optimization:

  • Identify and recommend solutions for data and process issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement best practices for data management and system administration to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies to innovate and improve existing processes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support:

  • Collaborate with the Consumer Finance, Finance, and IT teams to align data and system strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide support to the Supervisor, including handling ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision-making across departments.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (NCCP), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Privacy Acts in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Uphold our values by demonstrating integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to delivering on promises.

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Proficiency in PowerBI, with experience in databases, data structuring, or a programming language.
  • Familiarity with MS/Power Platform (PowerAutomate, Microsoft Fabric, Sharepoint, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • A high level of curiosity and eagerness to explore new data techniques and technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to continuous learning and skills enhancement.
