Job Summary:

The Manager, Financial Data Solutions is responsible for development and ongoing management of data solutions to enable expedient and accurate reporting and analysis related to Claims, Pharmacy, Medical Economics, Actuary, Market Finance, and Provider Analytic sources and systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the mapping of data from financial and claim systems to reporting and analytics data architectures
  • Leads the standardization and validation of financial and claim data for reporting and analytics
  • Leads the documentation of financial data flows, database architecture and metadata
  • Collaborate with other data solutions leaders to ensure conformity, seamlessness, and optimization of integrated data solutions (clinical and financial)
  • Coordinates with IT on the advancement of the enterprise data strategy related to claims and financial information systems
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, informatics, business/finance/economics, a related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required 
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with healthcare financial data (revenue, forecasting, quality and affordability, actuary, medical costs/savings) is required
  • Experience designing financial or healthcare data models is required
  • Experience designing and implementing data management solutions (data warehouses, datamarts, data lakes)
  • Experience managing small teams preferred

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of healthcare programs (Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, MMP), including medical and pharmacy claims, NDC, Revenue Codes
  • Proficient in data modeling, data architecture and data warehouse design
  • Proficient in Databricks, Spark SQL, Databricks Workflows, Transact-SQL, Python
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, SSIS, SSRS
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Services (TFS), Azure Dev Ops (ADO), or ServiceNow

Licensure and Certification:

  • Data Engineering-related certifications are preferred (Databricks, Azure, Power BI, etc.)
  • Financial certifications preferred (CIA, CMA, CB, etc)

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
