ROLE SUMMARY

The Global Program Manager Lead will be accountable for leading a team of up to 13 Program Managers, across the globe  who will be responsible for coordinating work across many stakeholders to ensure the timely, successful delivery of complex CMO-led initiatives (from Global to Local) in support of Commercial Priorities. Programs have the potential to involve Global to Local execution, involving 60+ markets. As part of their role, the Global Program Manager will be responsible for setting the strategy for the group to optimally execute the creation of comprehensive project plans and the removal of risks to ensure efficient and on-time execution. The Global Program Manager Lead will be responsible for ensuring close coordination with the Change Management Directors to ensure Commercial/CMO stakeholders are clear on roadmaps, status of projects and potential risks.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Project Manager will:

  • Develop strategy to ensure continuous improvement in execution by the Program Manager Team

  • Proactively identifies acute and/or systemic issues and manages effectively to resolution

  • Be responsible for ensuring Program Manager Delivery staffing, strategic leadership support are fit for purpose and deliver at the highest standards with the best talent in the industry

  • Lead the team of Program Managers responsible for creating end to end project plans for complex CMO led initiatives across CMO verticals

  • Ensure seamless and timely delivery of initiatives from Global CMO teams to 60+ markets

  • Establish a ‘plan of record’ that captures the deployment plans of all CMO initiatives by market to be shared broadly across the CMO/Commercial Leads

  • Manage to standards that involve excellence in project management and customer service

  • Manage to standards that involve consistent approaches to program management and clear executive reporting

  • Lead an engaged team that is clear on roles and responsibilities in the great context of the CMO/Pfizer ecosystem

  • Lead a team of program managers who track project plans to ensure deliverables and milestones are delivered to schedule

  • Ensure the team of program managers Identify and oversee program interdependencies, accounting for downstream processes/platforms

  • Manage a team who successfully Leads cross functional teams (e.g. CMO, Ops, Digital) to deliver on Program objectives

  • Help team to Identify & mitigate risks, escalating obstacles to remove constraints

  • Ensure successful deployment of programs to markets by ensuring team of Program Managers coordinates effectively with the Change Management Director and in market PMs

  • Ensure programs have identified outcome-based OKRs to achieve business value and monitor results

  • Ensure all critical stakeholders are well versed in the areas of execution as to achieve key, shared milestones

  • Partner across CMO, Digital, Legal, Corp Compliance and Commercial Sales Businesses to ensure seamless delivery of CFC priorities/capabilities

  • Optimally deploy team of Directors/Senior Managers to CMO led initiatives by taking into account demand/capacity.

  • Manages all aspects of the Global Program team budget to ensure financials are accurately tracked

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA Required

  • 15+ years commercial industry experience

  • Demonstrated history leading business transformation and innovation

  • Leadership experience including leading projects in a matrixed environment

  • Proven track record of delivering business performance

  • Drive for optimization and customer excellence

  • Delivery of exceptional customer services and experiences

  • Excellence in driving highly collaborative and productive cross-functional relationships

  • Demonstrated agility and ability to drive program completion in expedited timeline

  • Highly accountable; possessing a high energy level, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness

  • Proven track record of leading engaged and highly effective teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA

  • Track record of strong project management, networking, and stakeholder management, working collaboratively across organizational functions and verticals

  • Operations certificate in Lean Management, Six Sigma or Business Process Management a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
