Position Overview

As members of the Enterprise Architecture & Strategy (EAS) team, our Program Mangers play a crucial role in our organization. EAS is responsible for Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategic planning, Internal Consulting, and establishing consistent and measurable processes for work intake, execution, and data quality. The team also serves as the central support conduit for the Technology & Operations group pillars. Reporting to the VP - Major Programs & PMO, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading the seamless delivery of major programs for Technology & Operations and its business partners.

The Major Programs team is responsible for delivery of the core strategic initiatives within the Technology and Operations Group, supporting the wider company strategic goals of Warner Bros. Discovery.  The role will demand that the right candidate be an expert in building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally to the department, manage expectations and communicate clearly program goals and results at all levels.

Based in US East Coast and matrixed reporting to the T&O Operating Model Execution Lead, the postholder provides program management capability for a global operating model transformation program across Technology & Operations. As the program moves into a new phase, a highly experienced program manager is required to implement and manage a robust governance model to deliver against significant 2025/26 target operating model outcomes for Technology & Operations (T&O).

Adopting a capability led approach, this program amplifies and accelerates overall Organization Design outcomes for T&O relating to the Global Capability Centre (India) and Regional Capability Centers (Warsaw, Mexico, Atlanta). This role whilst based is T&O is matrixed to a leader in Global Business Services (GBS).

The postholder is accountable for program management support for execution outcomes, including migrating several global capabilities to the capability centers.

The postholder is a key member of the wider WBD Capability Center Program and partners closely People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Integration Management Office (IMO), Global Business Services (GBS), Finance, Global Business Operations (GBO), Global Real Estate (GRE) and Technology Procurement. This postholder will also have a high degree of contact with L3 and L4 leaders in the T&O organization.

Whilst most partners and stakeholders are US based, and core hours of working will reflect this, the ability to bridge time zones between India and US West Coast is required. The postholder will need a high degree of flexibility in working hours based on organization need.

The successful candidate should be versed in all project management methodologies and be able to lead a team of project resources to drive excellence in delivery, accountability and action across the program. The Program Manager will contribute through experience and learnings towards process change and improvement, have a deep understanding of scoping and scope development, operational standards, budget management, fiscal stewardship, team building and leadership. This is a client facing role, often interfacing with the senior operations and project team members of our client

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the execution of strategic programs and transformation delivery in Technology & Operations. Partners with P&C, Finance and Business Change and Transition Teams. Leads program management delivery teams (matrixed).
  • Implements a robust governance framework based on T&O SLT needs. Ensures timely reporting back to key stakeholders
  • Develops and implements program strategies, plans, and schedules. Ensuring the program aligns with the organization's strategy and goals and reports program progress status to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Finance and IMO on financial management across the program, ensuring robust reporting and financial management is in place. Assures timely financial reporting to the T&O Senior Leadership Teams
  • Provide program insights to the development of change and communications strategies, led by People & Culture, for the program
  • Lead indirect and multi-disciplinary teams across the program as required to ensure cohesiveness across the business, and set clear deliverables as required to ensure decisions are made in an agile way but are coordinated effectively where necessary.
  • Responsible for always upholding the Code of Ethics and ensuring high standards of accountability within the business.

Requirements: 

  • Proven leadership success in dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple constituents
  • Strong project and strategic program management experience with a passion for processes and procedures.
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering major programs in large multi-million-dollar media and/or technology environments
  • 10+ years' experience in technology operations and/or project management
  • Preferred experience in people transformation programs
  • Possess superior communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience of working for a global company with both direct and matrix reporting
  • Sound knowledge of product management, platforms, systems ecosystem to align various technology and business stakeholders towards Investments strategic goals.
  • Maintain strong work ethics with high integrity. Consensus and team builder. Must be extremely results oriented.
  • Proven ability to excite and lead a successful team, is data-driven and outcome orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to maximize time-management and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, problem solving skills, intellectual maturity and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to balance risk with business priorities and apply the appropriate sense of urgency to issues.
  • Adept in Financial Management of large programs/projects
  • Excellent in engaging with various technology & business stakeholders at varied level to align them towards the common objectives.
  • Excellent execution focused attitude to see through organization vision & strategic goals are commonly shared, understood and met using various execution strategy actions.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills in complex multi-faced conflicting situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Mandatory Experience: 10+ years of total experience in large technology and/or broadcast organizations
  • Preferred Experience in media industry
  • Preferred Certifications (any of the below): PMI PfMP, PMI PgMP, PMI PMP, A-CSM, CSM, SAFe
