Description du poste

Les assembleurs effectuent des tâches multiples tout en fabriquant des composants de locomotives et de mines. Il utilise une variété d'outils manuels, électriques et pneumatiques. Les monteurs doivent travailler ensemble pour améliorer les processus de fabrication et promouvoir un climat de coopération.

Tâches et responsabilités essentielles

  • Assembler des composants en examinant les raccords pour s'assurer qu'ils sont bien ajustés et en fixant les pièces et les sous-ensembles.
  • Installer et/ou raccorder des soupapes, des joints, des garnitures, des ressorts, etc.
  • Tester les composants d'assemblage pour détecter les fuites d'huile et/ou d'air, ainsi que divers autres tests simples.  les réparations à effectuer lorsque des défaillances sont détectées.
  • L'utilisation de machines-outils standard et d'une variété d'outils manuels, électriques et pneumatiques sera nécessaire.
  • S'assurer que les calendriers sont respectés à la lettre.
  • Respecter les procédures opérationnelles standard (POS) et les analyses de sécurité au travail (AST).
  • éteindre l'équipement lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé
  • Promouvoir un climat de coopération, en donnant l'exemple en matière de qualité, de sécurité, d'environnement, d'allégement et de philosophie d'équipe de travail à haut rendement.

Exigences minimales

  • Être âgé de 18 ans ou plus
  • Diplôme d'études secondaires ou GED ou équivalent
  • Pouvoir porter des équipements de protection individuelle, par exemple des lunettes de sécurité, des gants, des chapeaux, des bouchons d'oreille et des chaussures de sécurité.
  • Une autorisation légale de travailler au Canada est requise. 

 Compétences souhaitées

  • Doit pouvoir suivre des instructions, des processus et des procédures d'assemblage détaillés.
  • Compétences de base en lecture, écriture et arithmétique.
  • Capacité à soulever jusqu'à 50 livres.
  • Effectuer la même tâche de manière répétée
  • Doit être capable d'utiliser et d'entretenir correctement les outils et l'équipement qui lui sont attribués.
  • Avoir l'initiative d'identifier les problèmes de sécurité, de lever la main et de porter ces problèmes à l'attention du responsable ou du superviseur.

Job Description

Assemblers will perform multiple tasks while manufacturing locomotive/mining components. Assemblers will use a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Assemblers are responsible for working together to improve manufacturing processes and promote a climate of cooperation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • The installation and/or connection of valves, seals, gaskets, springs etc.
  • Testing of assembly components for oil and/or air leaks, and various other simple testing.  Repairs to be made when failures are detected
  • The use of standard machine tools including a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools will be required.
  • Make sure that schedules are being followed exactly as they are listed
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Turn off equipment when not in use
  • Promote climate of cooperation, leading by example in quality, safety, environmental, lean and high-performance work team philosophies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High-school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.  

 Desired Skill Sets

  • Must be able to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform the same task repeatedly
  • Must have ability to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment
  • Have the initiative to identify safety issues, raise their hand and bring these issues to the Lead person or Supervisor.
