The Opportunity
This position works out of our Orlando, FL location supporting the Rapid Diagnostics business within the Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics Division (ARDx). The Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Orlando site is part of Global Business Services (GBS). GBS has a global accountability to deliver an exceptional customer experience and create business value through compliance, standardization, and data analytics. As a key member of the Finance Team, the Accounting Manager leads a team in Orlando, FL that supports multiple business units and several entities on various ERP platforms across the ARDx Division. This role will ensure that the general accounting processes are compliant with standard operating procedures, Abbott Policies, and controls across the ARDx Division and legal entities for their respective region. The Accounting Manager will serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders of the business units accounting key account processes. The successful candidate has strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills along with the ability to interact with various levels of finance personnel, including executive leadership. This individual is accountable for ensuring the ultimate delivery of service commitments throughout ARDx.
What You’ll Work On
Coordinate between FP&A, ARDx HQ, Sister Abbott Hubs, and other functional areas to ensure an effective month-end close.
Ensures that proper internal controls are operating effectively.
Responsible for the implementation of new controls and processes as needed.
Build and enhance relationships with internal business partner stakeholders.
Work closely with the FP&A teams to ensure accuracy of accounting entries and proper reporting of financial results.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of key financial metrics including growth and profitability drivers and continuously learn about the business.
Assists with review and analysis of the financial statements and trends.
Identifies, develops, and implements processes to improve department performance.
Identifies areas that need improvement and takes action to bring improvements to life.
Support ad-hoc requests by business leadership.
Partner with GBS finance leaders and sister Abbott hubs to drive strategy, gross margin improvement initiatives, and enhancements across the finance function.
Fosters a team collaboration of staff development, mentoring, performance management, engagement, and hiring.
Frequent interaction with other financial management across the Divisions, Corporate functions, and with Abbott's external and internal auditors.
Transfer business and leadership knowledge to team members for their growth and advancement.

Required Qualifications
BS in Accounting / Finance required.
8-10 years of Accounting/Finance experience required.
3+ years in Accounting/Finance leadership position required.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or MBA preferred.
Extensive experience with SAP preferred.
Business Analytics tool experience (PowerBI/QlikView) preferred.
Advanced experience in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint

The base pay for this position is
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
