Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Part-Time International Tax Manager to join our corporate tax team. This role is responsible for supporting international tax compliance, planning, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity. Key Responsibilities 

 

Tax Compliance – U.S. International 

  • Prepare and review relevant forms, including forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 1118, for a U.S. Multinational corporation. 
  • Prepare and review U.S. Federal international tax calculations and workpapers, including Global intangible low-taxed income (“GILTI”), Subpart F, Foreign derived intangible income (“FDII”), Subpart F, and Foreign tax credits.
  • Calculation of Section 986(c), 987 and 988 impacts. 
  • Prepare international statements and elections for transactions completed during the year. Assist with maintenance and updating U.S. International Compliance structure in Corptax. 

 

Tax Accounting 

  • Prepare and review calculations and return to provisions of GILTI, Subpart F, Foreign tax credits, and other U.S. International components of the U.S. GAAP provision on a quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Prepare and review foreign tax accounting packages, return to provisions, and analyze and reconcile tax account rollforwards. 
  • Assist as necessary with preparation and review of uncertain tax position analysis, documentation, and workpapers. 
  • Maintain conformity with established Sarbanes Oxley 404 internal controls. 

 

Tax Audits 

  • Assist with responses to U.S. International topics of federal income tax examinations. 
  • Assist with managing negotiations with tax auditors, including both tax technical and administration issues. 
  • Coordinate preparation and/or review of responses to Information Document Requests (IDRs) issued to the Company. 

Other 

  • Member of Pillar 2 implementation team. Monitor developments and guidance and assist with compliance strategy. 
  • Prepare and review U.S. International and/or foreign analysis arising from business transactions including acquisitions, divestitures and internal restructurings. 
  • Perform or direct tax technical research including analysis and interpretation of relevant federal and state tax laws, regulations, cases and agency guidance. 
  • Periodically assist with preparation of transfer pricing calculations and documentation. 
  • Streamline tax compliance process and implement system improvements. 
  • Assist in special projects to secure cash and book tax saving opportunities. 
  • Work with other members of the tax department to support global tax planning initiatives. 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field 
  • CPA certification preferred 

 

Experience: 

  • 6-10 years of Corporate Income Tax experience with a US multinational corporation, or Public Accounting experience 

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of and prior work history with U.S. International Concepts and Compliance  
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills 
  • Strong technology skills, Corptax software experience preferred 
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion and other financial reporting tools required to gather appropriate financial data 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be a team player, working collaboratively in a team environment.
