Business Analyst with cleared derivatives

About the Team:

This role is required to Operate as Business Analyst + Project Manager in the change delivery team responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects while working with the customer, technology, operations and support teams.

What you will be doing:

• Work with clients and operations teams to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs.

• Clearly articulates and document business requirements and translate it into functional specifications.

• Act as Project coordinator as required by collaborating with Architects, Developers and other cross functional teams to design solutions.

• Assesses risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands.

• Coordinate project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate designs and validate proposed solutions.

• Provide subject matter expertise to support development and testing of project deliverables and validation of quality assurance.

• Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.

• Participates in Functionality Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing; document test cases and results.

• Follows change management process regarding change deployment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 8 -10 years’ professional experience and proven delivery track record of working as a Business Analyst in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with senior management face-offs.
• Functional understanding of cleared derivatives business processes, trade flows and hands on experience on industry leading products like ClearVision, GMI, FISCD.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats to different levels of seniority internally, external individuals, organizations and agencies.
• Fostering an open environment with constructive problem-solving and proactive issue and risk management.
• Strong client presentation skills.
• Strong teamwork working effectively with global teams.
• High level understanding of common technology platforms used in derivatives clearing.
• Strong time management with the ability to multitask and be flexible with schedule as demand dictates.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to analyze problems and produce a range of options to arrive at preferred solution.
• PMP or Prince2 certification.

What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience

• Extensive experience in cleared derivative space either in technology or operations.
• Knowledge of FIS (Ex SunGard) products like ClearVision, GMI, FISCD etc
• Knowledge of cleared derivatives trade life cycle.
• Ability to build and maintain strong Client relationships portraying deep technical and functional expertise
• Knowledge of Project Methodology viz. AGILE, Waterfall etc.
• Positions involving data mapping require strong analytical and technical skills
• Competent in best practice principals of risk, information security and compliance

Education:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience is preferred
