We are looking for a Project Manager (Central North Island) to be based in our Petone, Wellington office in New Zealand.
About you
You will manage specified Construction projects in accordance with Otis’s policies, procedures. In this role you will also manage labour, cost and local purchasing for specified projects.

As a Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include
Manage Otis FIELD employees and sub-contractors / vendors and maintain a high-performance team environment by developing, and motivating field labour, and coaching them to deliver against team objectives.
Liaise with builders, consultant & clients for project site start, key milestones, inspections and hand-over.
Administer and manage Otis New Equipment and Modernization contracts and deliver projects within the promised time, cost, safety & quality standards.
Ensure Sales Installation Process (SIP) is followed to improve installation efficiency, quality and co-ordination with the customers and mechanics.
Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy the customers of your processes.
Prepare project site folder with required documents including project schedule, safety documents and work safe notifications.
Ensures that all local purchasing is managed in accordance with the current purchasing policies.
Assess and manage project costs, participate in regular project cost review and updating SIP on timely basis.
What you will need to be successful
Have Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or its equivalent and an Electrical or Mechanical Trade Certificate.
Must have full working rights in New Zealand
At least five (5) years’ work experience as Project Manager / Supervisor in an Elevator industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective planning and organizational skills.
Good knowledge in using technology including mobile applications and computer-based reporting systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database management) to analyse data and trends.
Excellent attention to details and is results driven.
