POSITION TITLE:                           Process Operator II

DIV/DEPARTMENT NAME:          Systems Products Division (SPD)/ Manufacturing

REPORTS TO:                                 Manager, Manufacturing

POSITION STATUS:                       Full-Time

WORK LOCATION:                         Greenville, SC (GSC)

FLSA STATUS (E or N):                 Non-Exempt

EXPECTED PAY: $15.02 to $20.65 per hour.

This pay range is for the position's base salary only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.

POSITION SUMMARY

Job Summary (Briefly describe what the position was created to accomplish.)
 

Assembles small electronic components according to specifications and established procedures and/or guidelines from supervisor to support the manufacturing/assembly needs of the organization.  Assist with incoming and outgoing materials and products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done; include supervision or management responsibilities, quality and quantity standards, and  % Time (as applicable.)
 

  • Performs light assembly and/or fitting parts together to form complete units or subassemblies, according to work procedures. May require the use of hand tools.
  • Visually inspects materials and final assemblies for quality and consistency based on specifications.
  • Reports quality concerns or inconsistency as instructed.
  • Labels products/assembles to prepare for packaging and/ or for shipment.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment
  • Assist with pulling materials, receiving materials, and preparing outgoing products.
  • Completes other related tasks and duties as directed by supervisor or engineer.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Education or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Four Years manufacturing Process experience and at least one year visual inspection, quality, or warehouse experience.
  • No domestic travel will be required (in the future).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to proficiently perform near visual inspection tasks
  • Good vision to include color vision, depth perception, and near vision
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to use small hand tools
  • Ability to work with minimal supervisor
  • Basic Computer skills
