The opportunity
The Region Europe IT Service Delivery Manager is responsible for developing, implementing & executing the IT delivery capability within their region of responsibility. Region IT SDMs plan, build, run or support IT solutions for a region of Central Europe with multiple countries, site offices & factories.
How you´ll make an impact
Provide the interface to the business, consulting with the local BU leads, IT stakeholders & application owners within the business on IT-related topics - This position is a stakeholder facing role & requires management of expectations within the business
Lead a multi-country team of IT specialists, providing appropriate & efficient IT solutions/services to a defined site
Manage hosted IT resources & support global IT projects in respect of Hub implementation
Together with the Countries /Product Groups, implement the global standard IT operating model, oversee service & project delivery, & ensure that the business voice is an integral part of the PG IT operating model
Accountable for development & management of an organizational entity for delivering IT services, solutions & activities in the region. And for end-to-end IT service delivery incl. onsite services & IT/OT cybersecurity operational mgmt. at sites
Aggregate demands for new & improved IT infrastructure services required by the business & ensure overall business satisfaction with existing infrastructure services
Collaborate with the Country Management, IT stakeholders & 3rd party IT suppliers & across other countries
Accountable for the assigned country scope ensuring that delivery of business processes/projects supporting IT systems/projects is aligned to business & function needs, resulting in improved efficiency, effectiveness, quality &/or operational functionality
Prioritize tasks & responsibilities to manage global, regional & local requirements & escalations seamlessly accordingly to the global targets & strategy
Ensure vision & mission alignment of the operational tactic. Lead & work with distributed teams & processes & driving them towards high levels of operational excellence
Work with local knowledge of countries, regulations & able to bridge the gap or escalate when needed
Responsible for compliance of IT services to local law, local license compliance & local IT controls compliance and for respective regional IT budget
Ensure (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled & directed
Guides, motivates & develops direct & indirect subordinates within HR policies, for benefit of both company & employee
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or 10+ years of experience in Information Systems
5+ years prior experience in IT
2+ years prior experience in IT management role
Fluent English communication skills & good local language skills of the major country of responsibility
2 years of experience in project management of complex global projects
Experience in process management, business process improvement, business process management, or value stream mapping
Experience with manufacturing operations methods, process, and change management is an advantage
Experience in complex stakeholder scenarios, cross-functional problem solving and advanced understanding of IT procedures and policies, together with end-to-end business processes knowledge
Flexibility to manage multiple shifts of IT resources in a factory environment
