About the Role:

As a Professional Learning Director (“PLD”), you will be responsible for guiding and advising Panorama clients towards best practices in professional learning and their implementation of Panorama products and services. PLDs at Panorama craft effective annual professional development plans for school systems, deliver exceptional learning experiences that embody Panorama’s pillars of adult learning, advise clients on an ongoing basis, and design tailored workshops and resources aligned to client goals. In executing these responsibilities, PLDs  also serve a critical role in contributing to the designing and development of professional learning resources and developing innovative delivery approaches. In addition, the PLD role is an internal player, responsible for relaying insight and engaging in on-going communication with internal stakeholders and collaborating to achieve shared goals for account health and expansion and student impact. PLDs lend subject matter expertise from professional experiences in educational leadership and teaching, and are also self-directed in expanding their knowledge and expertise in alignment with client needs and a fast-changing educational landscape and fast-paced, ever-evolving education technology industry.

This position requires you to be located in the EST time zones. 

Responsibilities:

Understanding and being responsive to client needs 

  • Builds a comprehensive understanding of clients context based on internal and external resources, including partnering with Client Experience, Sales, and Account Management teams 
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with main point(s) of contact and key client stakeholders
  • Develops partner-specific professional learning strategy and rollout plans to support effective implementation and account health, and tracks the implementation of those plans.
  • Partners with Account Management and Sales to support renewals and upsell opportunities aligned to client needs 
  • Synthesizes client knowledge (successes, pain points) and shares with other Panorama teammates to strategize on best routes to support clients. 

Establishing solid understanding of Panorama product functionality and relevancy to clients

  • Actively builds and maintains a  solid understanding of Panorama products, the interconnectedness of products and services, and demonstrates precision of language when communicating about Panorama products
  • Maintains an awareness of pending product functionality and the impact for Panorama clients
  • Curates and customizes product demonstration "stories" based on audience, client’s platform, and knowledge of the clients needs 
  • Consults internally (as needed) to infuse the practitioner perspective and educational subject matter expertise into Panorama’s work across different teams. (Ex. providing feedback on product design concepts, or a demo script being developed for Sales presentations). 

Providing high quality facilitation 

  • Design and deliver standardized, curated, and custom in-person and/or virtual learning experiences for diverse school leaders including senior-level stakeholders, educators, counselors, district leaders, and stakeholder groups. 
  • Collaborate to support 1099 contractors to design and deliver high quality workshops, consultations, and other needed client deliverables, and to ensure smooth operations of delegating work to the consultant network (forecasting major projects, documentation, etc.). 
  • Offer education and implementation-focused consultation to clients who have specific goals for the impact that Panorama will have on their students and school communities. As necessitated by client and business need, leads project-based services for clients outside their personal portfolio.
  • Utilizes information acquired through capture of client knowledge as well as appropriate adult learning theory to make decisions regarding facilitation
  • Promote equity and inclusion in facilitation work across all service offerings by facilitating data inquiry protocols, modeling asset-based language and mindsets in discussion of student data and needs, and strategically aligning language and approach to regional contexts.

Designing exemplary adult learning experiences 

  • Apply knowledge of research-based practices, adult learning theories, and professional learning standards to customize content to positively impact client experience
  • Collaborate with Panorama’s Product Education Team to support the ongoing development of Panorama Academy (Panorama’s resource library for clients) and integrate key concepts, frameworks, and approaches into Panorama’s standard product offering
  • As needed, support one to many learning experiences for groups of Panorama clients and end users through Panorama’s Community Workshops program in order to enable scale 

Maintaining and expanding knowledge and expertise of the K-12 educational landscape 

  • Seeks out learning opportunities and resources to maintain an understanding of K-12 ecosystem across the country and how that impacts our work.
  • Contributes to the professional growth of the entire Panorama Teaching and Learning community by sharing professional experiences and resources 

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 5+ years of experience teaching and developing adult learners working in K12 education (either within a school or district or with an education-focused organization)
  • Experience managing complex, high-impact projects requiring strong cross-functional collaboration 
  • Demonstrated experience using technology and virtual platforms for designing and delivering successful teaching and learning experiences
  • Success coaching others in facilitation, instructional design, or resource development 
  • Travel requirements: Up to 60% travel
  • Must reside within the EST timezone

The starting salary range for this role is $95,400 - $106,000 Actual offers will depend on experience and skills.

 

The “Base Salary” range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. The determination of this anticipated Base Salary range involves the consideration of many factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: unique skill sets, experience, training, performance, licensure and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. Our anticipated Base Salary determination is just one component of Panorama’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual bonus or commission awards, equity awards, as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
