How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Night Shift
**Sunday- Mon- Tues-Wed-Thurs**
10pm to 8am

The Distribution Supervisor will report to the Distribution Manager and share responsibility for the
critical issues of branch operations, distribution, and profitability including: safety, sales, sales
growth, budgeting, gross margins, operating expenses, customer service, inventory, equipment,
building and vehicles, community relations, accounts receivable and resolution of personnel issues.

Dispatch 

  • Assist drivers truck issues if needed

  • Answer questions as needed (Routes, product, etc) 

  • Assist Airgas route drivers with loading to minimize yard time

  • Close out plant dispatch orders from the previous day in EDS

  • Enter/Update CO2 Information from previous/current day 

  • Email update w/CO2 Bulk Tanks daily 

  • Review routes daily for efficiencies and compliance

  • Revise routes as needed when callouts occur

  • Work with production supervisor to ensure that ice is staged correctly by date (FIFO)

Load Tracking 

  • Monitor carrier status (location/ETA) updates for arrival times to SFS from out of town loads as needed. (Mostly for SFS) 

  • Assist when needed in prioritizing unloading of couriers (OTR and local) 

  • Verify correct loading for internal shuttle runs

Office Duties

  • Arrange routes for the following day for day shift to review and edit as needed

  • Answer emails and phone calls

  • Review daily ice inventory and either communicate needs and/or place requests as needed

  • Enter invoices on Translog  

  • Review invoices as needed and approve/reject

  • Enter vehicle miles for monthly input

  • Enter work hours for monthly input

Safety/Maintenance/Compliance 

  • Conduct required training as necessary (Monthly SMS, Safety Tips, etc) as time permits

  • POC for Night time start drivers

  • PM maintenance tracking and scheduling (Fleet Report)

  • Arrange night time repairs if needed with PTGF

  • Conduct regular spot audits on trucks daily and document

  • Conduct ride along observations with drivers as directed

  • Update DQ files as needed

  • Review Geotab dashboard daily for any potential HOS issues and address immediately

  • Check Geotab Dashboard daily for missing VIR’s, Vehicle Defects and Unidentified Driver Logs

  • Monitor driver statuses in GEOTAB to ensure there are no HOS violations

Are you a MATCH?

  • Previous Distribution experience preferred

  • Must be computer literate (Gmail/Google Suite/Office Apps) 

  • Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service guidelines

  • Knowledge of general DOT regulations as it pertains to commercial trucks

  • Knowledge of electronic logs

  • Strong ense of urgency

  • Excellent attendance record

  • MHE experience (Forklift and electric pallet jacks)
