Mission Statement

Lead the execution of medium size to large and moderately complex projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

  • Leads the project team, establishing the project execution, approach and oversees the project handover, execution planning and monitoring and control activities for both internal & external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Defines, jointly with project controls department, all project plan documents, including scope in financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
  • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies. Effectively monitored and controls project progress and effective resource utilization.
  • Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identify, qualify, quantify and manager’s project risk and ensure that all opportunities are identify and pursued. Captures, analysis and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contracts close out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
  • Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. Coordinates with supply chain management and successfully procures all required services, materials and equipment for the projects from external and internal suppliers. Supports supply chain management and supplier negotiation claims and project changes.
  • Acts as the key contact for the customer and escalation point for project issues. Bills and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Ensures that the project flows and complies with company health, safety and environmental policies. Coaches and provides feedback for project staff.
  • Lead team with focus on operational planning and process development. Typically, accountable for budget and policy recommendation and medium term plannings. Typically managing through Firstline managers mainly in functional area. Focus balance and leadership and subject matter expertise.

Your background:

  • Candidate should have a bachelor’s in electrical / electronics engineering with relevant work experience in managing Electrical power/Automation projects.
  • Should have good project and contract management skills, people management, customer handling and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of usage of project management tools like MS projects and others a must.
  • PM certification from reputed institute which is added advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills and knowledge strategy and operational management is expected.
  • Should be a team player for achieving the business KPI with collaboration.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
