Job Description:

The Sales Director Solutions & Programs for VMware by Broadcom (VM-by-BC) within the EMEA & ANZ regions is a pivotal role within the Arrow VMware by Broadcom Group. This individual is responsible for managing strategic alliances and implementing distribution frameworks, in addition to guiding and supporting sales and business development activities across 18-26 countries. The aim is to mature the strategy and achieve commercial outcomes in line with the Arrow VMware by Broadcom Group's strategic objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for driving / achieving Strategic Program Objectives of VMware by Broadcom Group.
  • Responsible for daily operation, achieve targets, objectives, and goals set by management. Report forecast, pipeline, trends and developments on a "weekly" basis and “daily” during 2 weeks before VM-by-BC and Arrow fiscal quarter closings.
  • Create, build, present, execute, manage, Distribution framework guiding Arrow VM-by-BC teams, help, train, and coach them to achieve their targets, KPI’s and goals in line with the goals set by management to improve performance, services, quality, customer success and support towards region(s), our country teams, VM-by-BC and leadership.
  • Proactively contribute and deliver support within VM-by-BC Group and take care of tasks given by the Head of VMware by Broadcom, related to company goals.
  • Become and offer CSME (Commercial Subject Matter Expertise) leadership by the acquiring, maintaining, and using knowledge of VM-by-BC strategy, mission, culture, technology, portfolio, programs, commercials, solutions, processes, best practice, “got to market”, services, market, segments, partners and “end users” company profiles of current and potential (partner) ecosystems.
  • Create, build, present, execute, manage, and report business development plan in combination with EMEA & ANZ marketing, EMEA & ANZ education, Arrow country VM-by-BC teams and Arrow (Managed) services teams with a hands-on approach.
  • Organise, plan and held regional Quarterly Business Review (QBR’s), workshops, web sessions, meetings, best practices, tech talk, round tables, etc.
  • Provide analyses, Exec briefs and Exec Summaries, reporting, presentations, and documents to support the VM-by-BC business and country teams.
  • Be a proactive contributor to VM-by-BC / Solutions / Alliance team domain’s body of knowledge by way of sharing strategic VMware portfolio & services knowledge via internal articles, writing newsletters on VM-by-BC strategic matters and results, actively directing the channel’s / team’s attention to significant events and milestones within the domain via social media.
  • This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan.  A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related international experience work within a globally distributed team without daily oversight, with a 4-year degree, or 6 years and an advanced degree, or equivalent experience. Working with matrixed structure is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, another European language is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, you are good at forming internal and external relationships very clear, logical and precise (as in unambiguous) in verbal and written specifically as it relates to staffing and multi country and culture engagement, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with VMware and Distribution / Cloud / Channel models is mandatory. Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the IT and Cloud Go To Markets solutions and business models.
  • Experience in building business plans, processes, briefings, reports, routes to market, sr. sales and relationship management, channel ecosystems, cloud and services is required.

  • An ability to envision what might be coming down the (sales) pipeline via VM-by-BC, pre-sales, architect, and post-sales engineers
  • Excellent attention to detail and genuine passion for vendor, relationship, sales and business development
  • Be able to manage a team, Graduates and other if applicable.
  • The mission will require some travelling (30%, depending on EMEA & ANZ guidelines).

  • The company’s standard hours of work are 9.00am – 5.30 pm CET with one hour for lunch, however due to the EMEA & ANZ time zones and the nature of this role flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the role. In addition, this role is remotely facing and therefore there will be the expectation that you are able to work from the Arrow office at least one day per month with tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
