The National Institute of Education (NIE) invites applications for an Executive position in the Learning Sciences & Assessment (LSA) Department. This role will provide you the experience and opportunity to work in a dynamic department with faculty members, staff and students of NIE/NTU.

Responsibilities

Finance (including and not limited to):

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.

Programs

  • Assist in the Graduate Program (Coursework only by Masters), Preservice Program (For Degree, Diploma, PGDE and GESL).
  • Assist in the Preservice Program (For Degree, Diploma, PGDE and GESL).
     

HR (including and not limited to):

  • Maintain and monitor the training records of administrative staff.
  • General office administration and support to faculty.
  • PTL hiring matters.
  • Faculty External Consultation & Professional Activities (FECPA).
     

General admin:

  • Ensure smooth communication and dissemination of policy and information to Department staff.
  • Provide administrative and logistics support in LSA Department events.
  • Support administrative processes at LSA Department.
  • Admin support for Centre of Assessments & Evaluation (CAE).
  • Other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • A Polytechnic Diploma.
  • Experience in an educational environment would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel and Word) as well as different communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to work independently and effectively lead the office admin team.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
