The role

We are recruiting a Growth/Marketing Director to provide leadership across three core pillars of our Growth and Marketing activities:

 

  • Marketing: driving awareness and consideration within our target audience through focused outbound initiatives, beyond general brand awareness
  • Prospecting: identification, nurturing and qualification of leads
  • Pipeline management and reporting: ensuring a strong new business pipeline and keeping internal stakeholders updated.

 

Growth opportunities for these portfolios are supported by a global marketing team and by a globally coordinated growth team whose members work with a local, cultural or industry focus.

 

This role will be based in Germany and will sit within our Global Growth team, reporting to TBC and with a dotted line to the CEO, CEE. Your primary responsibility will be driving sales and marketing activity within CEE to drive the business to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual net new growth targets.  The role has the opportunity to expand into other markets as business need dictates.

 

You’ll collaborate and hold key relationships with:

 

  • Global Growth team: proactively developing and aligning growth plans and initiatives, sharing status updates in weekly global calls
  • Global Marketing Team: ensuring CEE market requirements are reflected in global marketing initiatives and global marketing assets are being leveraged in effective ways, maintaining alignment with local marketing initiatives
  • Global Client Partners and Client Partnership Leads: to drive successful conversion of opportunities
  • Omnicom network: managing new business relationships within the wider Omnicom network.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Think & Make

  • Management and optimization of effective new business processes and structures
  • Identification of key target audiences, based on industry insights, client situations and type of work with a (historically) high conversion rate
  • Development of initiatives to effectively connect with target audiences with focused marketing initiatives
  • For this, identifying, prioritizing and managing adequate activities, which could comprise of:
    • Planning and implementation of outbound marketing activities, e.g. website/social media articles, white papers, studies, events, webinars, participation in external events/podcasts etc.
    • Working with the Global Marketing team to implement data-driven lead generation tools, e.g. “movers database”, account based marketing, SEM
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with journalists
    • Establishing and nurturing relationships with lead contributors (e.g. pitch consultants, other professional services firms, network partners)
  • Qualification of leads with the Global Growth team and working in partnership with Client Partners working within the CEE market
  • Supervision of pitch processes
  • Monitoring and management of the new business pipeline
  • Supervision of regular new business reporting within the Global Growth team and wider network, as required.
  • Work with key stakeholders locally and globally to develop annual New Business Plans, specifying key target audiences, prioritized leavers and activities

 

Commerciality

  • Scoping and helping to sell significant new business engagements
  • Building a strong new business pipeline of relevant opportunities, reaching new business targets and facilitating continued growth within CEE, and other markets as required
  • Focus new business activities on opportunities with high conversion rates, and both top-line and bottom-line business potential, based on a rigorous qualification process
  • Translating client portfolio growth targets and needs into strategic marketing plans and requirements, aligned with global marketing plans and approaches.

 

Leadership & Culture

  • Actively contributing within the Global Growth team through sharing knowledge and insights and participating in team initiatives
  • Managing a New Business Manager - finding appropriate opportunities to coach and mentor.
  • Active participation in company performance management processes, providing timely feedback
  • Drive company culture by role modelling Interbrand behaviors
  • Contributing to global culture of learning actively supporting the Academy

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strong experience of working in CEE markets, with a black book of contacts
  • Extensive knowledge of branding, with a proven track record of selling relevant work into clients
  • Experience of working within a global team/network preferable
  • German language skills, either native or fluent working proficiency

 

This is a hybrid role based in Germany and requires 3 days a week in either the Berlin or Cologne office.
