About the Team:
As a public relations and corporate communications intern, you will provide additional support to members of the PR and Corporate Communications team. You will perform research as needed and play a role in staying up to date with trends and industry news. You will draft press releases, write media pitches, monitor media inquiries and get to sit in on media prep calls and interviews. This position also involves compiling media lists and assisting with communication, both internal and external.
This summer internship also has the potential to extend part-time into the fall semester, allowing for continued engagement and contribution to ongoing projects and team initiatives.
Intern Responsibilities May Include:
Identify pitching opportunities and draft pitches for various outreach efforts
Compile and update media lists
Draft press releases
Monitor media for weekly reporting
Compile content calendars
Ship products to journalists/reporters as samples
Research trends, competitors, partnership opportunities, etc.
Organize the PR team shared drive
Assist with internal and external communication efforts
Attend team meetings/brainstorms, both internal and with our agency partners
Assist in planning internal and external communications events
Support monthly messaging guides
Fill image requests using internal database
Provide support to other communications org. team members when needed
Other duties as assigned
You Will Bring:
Ability to work with others and work cooperatively to ensure completion of projects
Ability to communicate information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion
Ability to work independently and multi-task while managing multiple deadlines
Excellent writing skills with knowledge of AP style
Organizational skills and experience with Excel
Interest in food and beverage industry and passion for culinary discovery
Familiarity with MuckRack, Meltwater or Cison is a plus, not required
Education & Experience:
Currently pursuing or recently completed (within the past year) a bachelor's degree, Public Relations or Communications preferred
Internship Program Details:
Our Summer 2025 Internships are paid for 10-weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) between June 2, 2025-August 8, 2025. The internships will be based in Austin, Texas on a hybrid schedule and are not open to remote candidates at this time.
