About The Role

Old Mission Capital, a global quantitative trading firm, is recruiting a Trade Desk Analyst to join our Chicago office. The Trade Desk Analyst will be embedded on our trading desk and will report directly to the Senior Traders/Desk Head(s) and will be heavily involved in the operations of a young, dynamic and global proprietary trading firm. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced technology-based trading environment with daily interaction across multiple business units, including the front office, IT and accounting.
  • Ownership of the daily/intraday trade, position, and PnL reconciliation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the exchanges, regulators, clearing firms and counterparties.
  • Create and maintain policies, business procedures, and practices to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform ad hoc project work as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of matching and settling trades: Domestic/International Equities, ETF’s, Futures, and Options
  • Familiarity with a computer programming language, preferably SQL and/or Python
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and research new tools, procedures and structures
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient
  • Problem solver with superior analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards.
