What you’ll do:

  • Responsible Operations Control Lead for Securities Finance Business within Citi’s Securities Services Business.

  • Interact where applicable with Execution Services Business and Operations leads as well as 2nd line, 3rd line and external auditors and regulators providing credible challenge and support as necessary.

  • Responsible for overseeing the Operational Risk and Control Framework including the accurate and timely completion of the self-assessment and the reporting of Operational Risk Event / Lessons Learned documentation and management of Issues and Corrective Actions to address above appetite risk in the Operation.

  • Highly focused on loss prevention through enhanced control design and control execution.

  • Reporting directly to Operations Control Head of Funds Services and Execution Services Business.

  • Lead on other major Risk and Control initiatives as they relate to the Securities Services Business, including but not limited to increasing Controls Automation, Processing Risk Reduction and Operational Maker/Checker enhancements.

  • Key collaborator on lessons learned look across other business areas working with other senior operational and in-business risk peers to drive a culture of risk awareness and best practice.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Bachelor/University Degree preferred

  • Significant experience in Operational Risk is a must.

  • Good Understanding of the Securities Services Business, with preferred experience in the Securities Finance or Custody Business.

  • Ability to work as part of globally remote team as a senior individual contributor.   

  • Be able to challenge but also support senior stakeholders as and when necessary to drive good risk outcomes.

  • Excellent communication skills as part of the role may require presenting to senior management in business risk forums.
