ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Primary Responsibilities 

 

  • At the direction of the Vice-President, Olympic & Paralympic Product and Inventory, and with guidance from the Head of Olympic & Paralympic Ticketing, the Director, Hospitality Product & Ticketing will be the main point of contact with the rights-holder (Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games or OCOG) for all subjects related to the purchase and management of ticket inventory, and the creation of ticket-inclusive hospitality products for Milano-Cortina 2026. 

  • The Director will be responsible for coordinating with the General Manager, On Location Italy to work with the OCOG to scope and secure lounges, private boxes, and other spaces at competition and ceremonies venues for the delivery of in-venue hospitality experiences, and for working with other internal On Location stakeholders to create a strategy to take those products to market. 

  • The Director will be responsible for working with the OCOG ticketing team to secure tickets for the Games, and for working with the OL inventory management team to efficiently track the usage and yield for those tickets. 

  • The Director will be responsible, under the joint direction of the VP, Product & Inventory, and General Manager, Italy, for planning, recruiting, and onboarding the team to assist in the tasks described above. 

  • The Director must be able to gather information from a variety of sources and synthesise it into easily understandable product information suitable for both savvy and inexperienced purchasers.

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Minimum five years of experience working in major sporting events internationally and/or within Italy. 

  • Experience working in ticketing and/or corporate hospitality. 

  • Experience in managing a cross-cultural team of event professionals. 

  • Strong skills in managing relationships with partners and vendors. 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage concurrent priorities. 

  • Fluent in English and Italian, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Permission to work in Italy.
