Position Summary

Job Purpose and Summary:

The Licensing Analyst role is responsible for a wide range of functions to ensure CVS facilities have the required federal, state and local licenses to allow for uninterrupted and compliant operations for all aspects of the business operations.   This role is focused on supporting licensing projects related to growth and optimization tied to our foundational businesses.   Supporting the business goals that will help drive Growing our Foundational Businesses and Creating New Sources of Value in Health Service and Care Delivery Channels require enhanced skills and competencies.   Expansion into primary care, virtual care, and other innovative care models (e.g., Oak Health, Telemedicine and Telepharmacy) contain new and complex licensing requirements.  

The Licensing Analyst works in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, engaging cross functionally with various internal departments and field personnel as well as interfacing with external regulatory agencies to file for, obtain and maintain required licenses and ensures the successful completion of licensing tasks for new facility openings, acquisitions, relocations and existing operations, and new lines of business.  Additionally, the Licensing Analyst works to ensure the proper surrender of licensure for closing facilities.  The Licensing Analyst helps develop and maintain Standard Work Procedures, focusing on operational improvements.  The Licensing Analyst may also provide guidance, support and training to Licensing Coordinators. 

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process and see to completion of a wide variety of pharmacy, front store, clinic, and other license applications as well as other required regulatory notifications for new and existing facilities/businesses accurately and on a timely basis. Includes correspondence with local, county and state agencies regarding license information and regulatory requirements as well as close coordination with real estate, legal, construction, and field teams.  Applications and communications may occur  electronically, on paper, through large and small group meetings, telephone, and through various guideline documents, reporting, and database
  • Supports new licensing projects and perform other duties as requested by licensing team management
  • Database maintenance of licensing efforts and relevant information
  • Maintain on-site and electronic license files and supply copies upon reques
  • Monthly Budget Reporting
  • Support to other Coordinators


Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience working in a legal, licensing, healthcare or other highly regulated environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Required intermediate skills in MS Office Products including Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to set work priorities for multiple tasks.
  • Interpretative reasoning ability and commitment to work excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and efficiently resolve issues and interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to perform in a high volume and fast paced environment and manage multi-task urgent assignments in addition to managing day to day duties.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to initiate efforts to improve operational efficiencies, streamline procedures and achieve set goals.
  • Commitment to excellence in work, results oriented, job satisfaction derived from ability to make department process efficiently


Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$21.10 - $44.99

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
