What you will do

As a Manufacturing Engineer your role is to support Engineering & Manufacturing Operations by identifying, evaluating, developing and improving Manufacturing methods and processes. This opportunity will focus on machinery reliability, utilisation targets and managing the TPM system. Based out of our Frome Manufacturing site, this is the perfect opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer from a Maintenace background or a Multiskilled Engineer looking for their first step into a Manufacturing Engineering!

How you will do it

Manage Reliability of Machinery and Equipment for the Frome facility to achieve and maintain desired Machine Utilisation targets. 

Purpose of role will encompass but is not limited to:

  • Build infrastructure (processes and procedures) to successfully manage TPM system

  • Develop TPM Culture within site through training, events, best practice sharing.

  • Ownership of KPI standards and identification of opportunities for improvement

  • Identify and manage restoration schedule & events

  • PM record analysis and development

  • Spare Parts management and adherence

  • Condition Based Monitoring

  • Own YoY action plan to achieve and maintain TPM Objective.

  • Support and develop HPT teams from TPM perspective

  • Hands-on support of Root Cause Analysis and Resolution

  • Follow site and group Environment, Health and Safety policies and procedures. Adhere to training that you have received at all times. Take part in the sites leading indicator philosophy by identify and reporting hazards and unsafe practice in the workplace.

                               

What we look for

  • Strong knowledge of TPM, Risk assessment, Lean Methodology, Manufacturing processes

  • Problem solving through SPS, FMEA, 5Y, DMAIC

  • Previous experience with a TPM system

  • Maintenance/Engineering Apprenticeship. 17th Edition wiring regulations.

  • PLC programming, Robotics, Automation Design

  • Highly experienced in Maintenance Engineering (Multiskilled) or a similar Manufacturing Engineering environment.

  • Demonstrable people leadership experience

  • Travel Requirements: Occasional supplier and JCI site visits, attendance of recognized training courses.
