The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for developing new business opportunities and bridging gaps between marketing and sales. They will be responsible for identifying leads in target markets, identifying key contacts and decision makers, qualifying leads from marketing campaigns, and facilitating relationship building between prospective customers and sales teams.

•    Develop new business opportunities via telephone, mass communications, Zoominfo database, and other methods to identify appropriate target market clients with an emphasis on growing MQLs
•    Follow up on all leads and conduct research to identify the best potential prospects, while identifying key contacts and decision makers to increase efficiency of outside sales team
•    Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
•    Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails
•    Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services
•    Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
•    Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
•    Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
•    Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Sales Team
•    Report sales lead results to the Marketing Director on a recurring basis
•    ‘Connect the Dots’ between Marketing and Sales

Required Education and Experience 

  • BS in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ Years work experience in business development or inside sales
  • Experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Strong track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Dynamics)
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Plastics or packaging industry experience
  • Experience with ZoomInfo
