Role purpose
The Materials Planner plays a pivotal role in supply chain management. This role is essential in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time and in the correct quantities to meet production demands. The Materials Planner works closely with various departments, including procurement, operations, and logistics, to forecast needs and schedule deliveries, thereby minimizing production downtime and optimizing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Materials Planners are responsible for the strategic coordination of materials needed for production or service delivery. Primary responsibilities include:
Reviewing and processing purchase orders and shipping documents.
Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree with Engineering or Postgraduate in Management studies (preferably from NITIE, IIM, SP Jain) tier 1 institutes.
Work Experience: 5 to 9years in the manufacturing set up.
