As the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Leader for our operations in India, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company upholds its commitment to sustainability, humanity, and social responsibility.
You will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing initiatives that align with both our corporate values and the standards set forth by the Government of India.

Your role will involve strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program management to drive positive impact across our operations. Position typically reports to Director or above.
Additional Guidance/Criteria:
- Directs and controls activities within a sub-region or Country.
- Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the company's mission, values, and objectives, ensuring a focus on sustainability, humanity, and social responsibility in line with the expectations of the Government of India.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, local communities, and industry partners, to collaborate on CSR initiatives and leverage resources for maximum impact.
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CSR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Budget Allocation: Work closely with finance and senior management to allocate a portion of the company's P&L towards CSR activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to drive meaningful outcomes.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare regular reports on CSR activities, impact metrics, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing transparency and accountability to internal and external stakeholders.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of corporate citizenship and social responsibility among employees through awareness campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and employee-driven initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to CSR, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in our approach to corporate citizenship.
- Influences and coaches’ executives by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for fulfilling the CSR aligning with company values.
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s /Advanced university degree or demonstrable equivalent.in a relevant field such as business administration, sustainability, social sciences, or related disciplines.
- Proven 12 yrs experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, or related fields, with a track record of developing and implementing impactful CSR initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills
- Analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
- Strong understanding of CSR frameworks, standards, and regulations, particularly those relevant to India, such as the Companies Act and CSR Rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans, prioritize initiatives, and drive results in a dynamic business environment.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting, capable of measuring and evaluating the social and environmental impact of CSR initiatives.
- Superior project management skills, including time and risk management, and project structuring.
- Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting..
- Ability to manage human capital to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
Impact/Scope
- Staffs and manages cross-functional engagement teams.
- Oversees CSR strategic initiatives at India level.
- Presents business cases to EXEC2-level and above clients and audiences.
- May lead strategy development aligning company’s mission, vision, goals and values/
- Decision-making implications extend to multiple functions and/or businesses and impact the global business directly.

- Recognized internally and externally as an industry expert for recommending financial impact and change.
