THE TEAM

At Ticketmaster we are leaders in the business of selling the live entertainment experience to fans around the world. The Global Project Management Office (PMO) at Ticketmaster is a team of skilled and experienced program & project management professionals with a mission to ensure the delivery of innovative, valuable, and resilient solutions for our clients and customers. 

The PMO works closely with our technology, product management, operational and commercial partners to deliver strategic programs and products across multiple countries and continents. Doing so while leveraging multiple technologies and solutions delivery frameworks/methodologies (including agile, waterfall, hybrid).

THE JOB

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, pragmatic professional who obsesses about the delivery of customer value while working backwards from the shared vision/strategies of our partners to apply the principles of different frameworks (program management, scaled agile, etc.) in the development of products, tools and service offerings across our complex global organization. 

In this role, you will align to a product/technology domain and be accountable for the successful delivery of products and programs that are aligned to the business and its strategic goals. You will work with technology, product, and business leads to influence and design the delivery approach while ensuring that programs and product roadmaps are aligned and prioritized to support strategic initiatives within the business vertical.

You will manage a team in a mixed methodology environment and will work with your team to optimize the value proposition of the services the PMO provides to sponsors, stakeholders, and colleagues. This role requires the ability and gravitas to lead, inspire, influence, and motivate teams and business partners.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Be accountable for solution delivery (planning to production and execution) in your area and partner with technology, product, business, and design leaders to influence strategic and tactical components of the area’s portfolio.

  • Be accountable for stakeholder communication and engagement related to the delivery portfolio within and outside your domain.

  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the Ticketmaster business and its strategic goals while ensuring projects and programs are aligned, prioritized and optimized to support the business in achieving its strategic goals.

  • Implement, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators for delivery in your area, to drive insights and recommendations for improvement in delivery practices.

  • Be accountable for the quality of delivery data that drives Key Performance Indicators in your domain.

  • Address complexity with a contextual perspective, and drive clarity/understanding for how the multiple parts work together to fulfil a strategic objective.

  • Recruit and develop program and delivery managers  

  • Provide ongoing development and performance management for your team through proactive management style.

  • Provide advice, coaching and support on all aspects of teamwork, solution delivery methodologies and performance for your team and partners.

  • Analyse and provide regular, objective status reports for stakeholders on portfolio delivery including delivery insights and recommendations for actions to address risks or potential issues.

  • Ensure that program and product features are delivered within specified timeframes and budget in accordance with quality and benefit targets using defined standards, controls, processes and support tools.

  • Act with a sense of urgency to lead teams to identify, communicate, track and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies at all levels of management.

  • Conduct regular planning and follow up activities related to resource, capacity management, and budgeting in your domain.

  • Lead activities to optimize workflow within and outside your domain.

  • Champion, maintain and improve PMO standards and best practises to ensure the company and new members of the team are aware of and understand the value in these processes and principles.  

  • Travel to other Ticketmaster offices as needed to support teams, maintain relationships and co-ordinate launch activities. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • 10+ years of Project Management experience; including experience in close collaboration with technology teams (developers, product managers, product designers).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that inspire confidence; ability to deliver clear and concise information tailored for different stakeholders and situations.

  • Prior experience delivering information through engaging presentations (to all levels of stakeholders).

  • Engaging facilitation skills to conduct meetings and workshops that encourage attendees to participate and collaborate effectively and efficiently (ranging from roadmap planning sessions to formal steering groups).   

  • Ability to build rapport quickly, establishing trust, respect and confidence to foster strong working relationships with colleagues and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Ability to ensure that objectives are understood, expectations are set, and appropriate business engagement is in place throughout the solutions delivery lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technology, or operational objectives into manageable initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in different solutions delivery methodologies (Agile, Lean, Waterfall, hybrid) with the ability to identify and apply best practices tailored to your specific domain.

  • Working knowledge of the overall technology stack to facilitate the identification and mitigation of risks, issues, or impediments to delivery. 

  • Qualified in a recognized Project Management or Agile methodology (Prince II, PMI, SAFe, etc.) 

  • Competency in using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Jira.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision, while able to provide accountability of progress through regular reporting and communication 

  • Proven experience in managing teams and multiple programs of work. Central to this will be your ability to set clear objectives, mentor, offer career counselling and recruit high caliber individuals 

  • Ability to develop transparent metrics that the business can use as a basis for OKRs: measuring their success and targeting stretch goals 

  • Excellent leadership skills to lead, inspire and motivate cross-functional distributed teams in various international offices 

  • Ability to present with confidence and excel at standing up in front of a room to lead workshops or structured training sessions 

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and understand the value of listening and the power of empathy  

  • Ability to engender cohesion and trust within the team by focusing on the collective goal, exploring all points of view and support the team in decision making 

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations 

  • A self-starter and creative problem-solver with the ability to quickly understand complexities of technology within a business context and who facilitates the team to deliver the best solution against the constraints of time, cost and quality
