As a Strategic Category Analyst at Micron Technology, your key responsibilities will be as follow:


Analytics, insights and benchmarking

  • In-depth proficiency in Cost Savings, Spend Analytics, and overall Category Scorecards to leaders.
  • Provide oversite to team members to ensure data integrity and accessibility and partner with IT, BI, Fin, Eng, Mfg
  • Lead external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking and solution development.
  • Evaluate data and information to find opportunities and cost savings, and provide recommendations to support the strategic direction.
  • Collect and use financial data for suppliers, and provide guidance for interpretation

Business Partnering

  • Drive positive relationships and communicate optimally with collaborators to achieve business objectives
  • Actively engage with procurement leadership and cross-functional business clients, working together to design and implement plans into tangible results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master in Business, Engineering, or Science
  • Proficient in O365, Share point, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Financial and/or other analytics software, SQL and VBA proficiency preferred
  • Procurement, Category Management, Supply Chain background preferred
  • Validated experience working optimally in a matrixed, global organization
  • Highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and high comfort in working with numbers.
  • Demonstrate strong communication in a structured, clear and influential way, with Stakeholders and Senior Leaders/Executives
  • Having a global perspective and a positive attitude that is well-suited for working across different regions.
  • Showcasing a keen business sense and proficiency in data analysis, using insights to make informed decisions based on data.
  • Agile in adopting new tools and ways of working towards continuous improvement to better business outcomes.
  • Collaborating with an inclusive approach across geographical and organizational cultures to achieve mutual success for Micron.
  • Self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and dynamic environment
