Role Definition
Develops, designs, implements and tests software of embedded devices and systems; monitors and enhances the efficiency and stability of the systems.

Responsibilities
•    Gathering and analyzing user/client requirements to create the software requirements specification (SRS) document.
•    Writing and implementing source codes of embedded systems and enhancing code samples of existing systems.
•    Testing and debugging embedded system software using different tools/methods available to improve code quality and optimize system performance.
•    Collaborating with other teams to provide post production support. 
•    Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Degree Requirement

8 years of experience in Embedded software development for Automotive Powertrain as Software Developer / Function Developer / Engineer in Automotive / Embedded domain.


Degree required

Master of Science / Bachelors in EEE/ECE/E&I degree in Engineering or other related Engineering degree

  • Hands on experience in 'C' programming for Real Time Embedded systems (Embedded 'C' and RTOS).
  • Experience in Model-based development with ASCET / MATLAB/Simulink with Mechatronics software development background.
  • Experience in HW related SW development, Device Driver Software for sensors and actuators.
  • Proficient in Microcontrollers, its peripherals, ASICs and basic Electronics.
  • Basic understanding of Hardware circuit in a controller (ECU).
  • Good debugging skills and knowledge of tools for debugging, testing and validation like INCA, ES590, LabCar, Debugger, CANAnalyzer, Silver, TPT, SEDGE, etc.
  • Overview on Communication Protocols used in Automotive domain like CAN, Flexray, SPI, UART, I2C and CAN related tools, UDS / KWP.
  • Familiar with s/w development processes, methods & tools used in different phases of the software development life cycle – requirements analysis, design development, coding / implementation, and testing.
  • Knowledge on requirements and change management tools like DOORS / RQONE / RCMS / ClearQuest.
  • Familiar with Configuration Management tools and Version Control Systems – e.g. ClearCase / RTC / GIT / SVN / ALM / eASEE / SDOM.
  • Willingness to work in Automotive domain.
