Job Summary:

Seeking Data Cloud Developer who has experience in AWS Cloud, Database and Automation skills with exposure to DevOps practices. Candidate should have cloud internals knowledge, and hands-on-experience in programming, code development and management of cloud platform infrastructure services.

This role also involves advancing cloud database automation techniques, developing cloud resource provisioning using Terraform / Cloud formation data conversion & migration expertise, integration with different workflow engines, familiarity with relational, No-SQL and data warehousing datastore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy databases using AWS native services. Ability to employ API(s), AWS CLI and SDKs to write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Modules
  • Develop Cloud centric methods and services (Code Modules) to support the operations of Cloud infrastructure, provisioning, eco-system integration and monitoring within the scope of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models.
  • Able to write Lambda functions in Python and integrate them as custom resource in Infra Structure as A Code.
  • Develop IAM Policies and Service Roles as per enterprise standards.
  • Develop and maintain AWS cloud-based production systems and ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security.
  • Engage and become proficient with CI/CD delivery framework (Jenkins / AZ Devops / GIT) , infra-structure as code tools (Terraform / cloud formation) and configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet)
  • Participate, develop and manage hybrid database environments (Cloud and on-prem, multi-cloud), manage data conversions and migrations.
  • Use scale agile development methodologies and work in product mindset environment 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience or equivalent with programming and DBMS
  • Possess Coding skills of 2+ years in Python, API design, Python, Scala and database procedural languages (PL/SQL, T-SQL, PG SQL etc.) and scripting (java Script, Node.JS))
  • Exposure and working knowledge of SQL data stores – Cloud native databases (RDS) or cloud agnostic data warehouses  
  • Exposure to Spark programming

Preferred:

  • Minimum of (2) years of experience with AWS, with multiple AWS services beyond traditional IaaS services. Familiarity with AWS Cloud services such as Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, Glue, DMS, Quick sight, Athena, Airflow, SQS/SNS etc.
  • Minimum of (2) years of experience with infrastructure and database automation/programming capability with Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible and Python
  • Experience in CI/CD tools (Chef, ‘Cloudbees’, Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker)
  • One (1+) years of demonstrated programming ability, skillset in designing and developing automation scripts – using Pythion, java Script, Angular, Ruby, Ansible etc.)
  • AWS cloud Strategy: Business Case development, application assessment and migration planning
  • AWS Security - Compliance, cloud security architecture, security tools / platforms, encryption/ KMS, CloudHSM, IAM roles/policies
  • Exposure to ETL Tools such as Talend, Informatica, AWS Glue, Data Sync, Apache Airflow
  • Exposure to Data Virtualization tools such as Starburst, Dremio and Denodo
  • Knowledge of ETL Tools such as Talend, Informatica, AWS Glue, Data Sync, Apache Airflow
  • Experience with PowerShell, Rust/React, Django, Web services
  • Well versed with Scale Agile methodology – team collaboration and work transparency
  • Possess AWS associate or professional certification
  • Provide expert level services, including direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation and integration of new and existing technologies and tools in a Cloud Platform

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $112K - $133 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
