This role can be performed in either a hybrid or remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Hartford, CT, San Antonio, TX, Lake Mary, FL, Phoenix, AZ, Aurora, IL, New York, NY and Danbury, CT, Chicago, Il, Charlotte, NC, Columbus, OH) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. 

We are looking for a Senior Process Consultant of Artificial Intelligence to join the Strategy and Optimization team. The goal of the team is to deliver on the business strategy through strong process management discipline that focuses on continuous improvement and ongoing maintenance of key operational processes. The position will work across functions to lead efforts, drive improvements, and support activities relative to leveraging Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, and Machine Learning. Key accountabilities of the position are outlined below:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aids with the design, development, and implementation of strategies and tactics for effective and efficient process management and continuous improvement
  • Lead the implementation of generative AI capabilities to transform business processes and services.
  • Puts Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of the Employee (VOE) at the center of all process changes. Ability to lead others through change including new system enhancements; business process decisions; and future visions.
  • Executes continuous improvement of operational level processes including tactical and operationally driven changes to the process including, enterprise to organizational complex problem, using lean methodology to develop solutions.
  • Creating, managing, and updating a Continuous Improvement Plan and process
  • Executing and managing continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Redesigning the process represented in a future state map and translated into continuous improvement activities
  • Partner with business leads to map out current-state and maintain future-state business-process flows of customer attributes across customer-journey touch points and channels.
  • Develop, with business input, KPIs that determine health of the processes.
  • Partners closely with multiple business areas to develop solutions that will meet the need of our customers and employees, identifying opportunities for innovation and develop business-centric solutions.
  • Communicate complex AI concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Act as an advocate for innovation within the organization, promoting a culture of experimentation.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback from various business units.
  • Lead and/or support projects and initiatives across Operations including validating business requirements, determine/validate staffing, and expense impacts of projects, and communicate project status
  • Assess the strengths and opportunities of projects to drive efficiency and improvement
  • Manage and monitor project timelines to deliver desired outcomes and business results

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in data science programming languages (i.e. Python and R)
  • Aids in the delivery and use of process mapping software such as SkanAI and NICE NEVA Discover
  • Provides guidance and expertise to all levels of leadership on fit for use between GenAI, Data Science, Robotics Process Automation, Machine Learning, and other available solutions
  • Utilizes advanced techniques in predictive analytics to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the areas of Data Science, GenAI or related field required
  • Minimum 2 years strategic project management experience with demonstrated experience in implementing Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, and Automation Tools within a business context
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills at all levels within the organization
  • Strong ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
  • Possesses strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of leveraging technology to enhance business processes.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing measurement methodologies to evaluate business outcomes.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to embrace new challenges and acquire new skills as needed.
  • Able to build and foster strong working relationships; persuasive / able to influence others
  • Critical thinking skills –applies sound judgment; able to trouble-shoot

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$105,920 - $158,880
