🎯 Our Mission

At Pulley, we are on a mission to help construction teams break ground faster. The United States is short between 4-7 million homes while housing production and affordability remain near historic lows. Meanwhile, retail and office real-estate are still adapting to the post-pandemic world and the AI boom has led to significant investments in datacenter infrastructure.

Permitting requirements vary vastly by jurisdiction, making it challenging to navigate for home-builders, retailers, architects and contractors. It creates a critical bottleneck that every project must traverse. While the industry remains largely fragmented and underserved, we believe that combining cutting-edge software with permitting expertise can condense permitting timelines from months to days or even hours!

đź‘‹ About Us

We are a passionate team of engineers building software for the built environment around us. Founded by Charlie Jacobson and Andreas Rotenberg in 2021, our team combines deep experience in real estate and construction with a track record of shipping software loved by millions of customers.

We’re backed by CRV, Susa Ventures, BoxGroup, Fifth Wall, Operator, South Park Commons, Suffolk Construction and leaders from Plaid, Segment, Procore, ServiceTitan, Built, BuildZoom, and eero.

🏠 What We’re Building

We’re building the world’s first software platform for construction permitting — for any project, in any city. Our north star is speed; everything we do is in the service of helping our customers get their permits as fast as possible.

We serve some of the top developers, builders, retailers and architects in the industry to permit new apartment buildings, office space, homes, stores and much more!

🧑‍💻 The Role

We’re looking to bring on our first Content & Product Marketing Manager to refine Pulley’s messaging and create content that drives brand awareness, generates demand, and differentiates Pulley in the market. You’ll be the second marketer on the team and will own:

  • Content & Product Marketing Strategy: Take Pulley’s content and PMM efforts from their early stages and create a world-class storytelling function within the company. Develop a deep understanding of our audiences and build the messaging, content calendar, and product positioning to engage them. Ensure Content & PMM goals are aligned with company-level objectives and timelines.

  • Full-funnel Content Creation: Plan and produce content that positions our company as an industry leader and drives demand for Pulley’s product. This includes writing for traditional content formats like blog posts, guides, and case studies, but also creating videos, tools and templates, interactive demos, and presentations for industry events.

  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling product narratives that resonate with our target audience. Own the creation and refinement of product messaging, ensuring consistency across all channels including the website, email, sales content, etc.

  • Product Launches: Develop and execute strategies for new product launches and feature updates. Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to ensure smooth execution and hit shared launch targets.

  • Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research and gather customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategies. Own competitive positioning and develop content and programs to reinforce Pulley’s leadership in the market.

  • Track record of creating content that measurably increased audience engagement

  • Creative, undeterred by ambiguity, and excited to find the right problems to solve

  • Curious and adept at learning new tools to make content production more efficient. Display a bias towards action, independence, and ownership — but thrive in collaborative environments and consider cross-functional work a “must-have” in a next role
