Job Description
At ALSAC, we are dedicated to ensuring the resilience and continuity of our operations. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Continuity Program Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Coordination: Provide ongoing support to all aspects of the Business Continuity Program, including data-driven projects and initiatives.
- Program Implementation: Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing Business Continuity Program initiatives and activities.
- Documentation and Monitoring: Document, perform, and implement routine control/risk monitoring initiatives for both the National Executive Office and regional offices. Update Business Continuity program documents regularly.
- System Management: Implement and maintain systems and databases used to support program activities, including compliance training and process improvements.
- Training and Consultation: Conduct system user training and provide consultation and expertise in essential matters of business continuity.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and manuals summarizing technical and complex information. Maintain department dashboards and interpret statistical data for compliance monitoring.
- Best Practices: Stay current with Business Continuity best practices and advise the Director of Business Continuity & Resiliency on changes and their impact on ALSAC’s program.
- Project Coordination: Schedule and coordinate project meetings, manage multiple concurrent assignments, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate across various functional areas to support the Business Continuity function.
- Assist in the routine review of divisional Business Continuity Plans and adherence to the Enterprise Business Continuity program.
- Problem-solve operational and technical issues related to the BC program.
- Administer and maintain all systems associated with Business Continuity activities.
- Develop and manage content for web and print materials used by Business Continuity.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with program requirements and update compliance program manuals.
- Advise on best practices and changes in the field of Business Continuity. Coordinate project meetings and manage multiple assignments.
- Ensure enterprise visibility to Business Continuity strategies and their importance to ALSAC’s overall strategic focus.
Job Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Ability to speak and write clearly for internal and external relations. Understand complex verbal and written instructions.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of audit, assessment, or quality monitoring standards. Demonstrated data management or project management skills using various automated systems.
- Leadership: Previous success in leading projects and teams.
- Education and Experience: BS degree in a business-related field preferred, with 3 years of related experience.
