We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated Construction Project Coordinator to support our West Construction Operations team. This is a hybrid remote role that will be tied to an office in Chicago, Illinois or Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Advocates for and embraces Ameresco’s “Culture of Safety”.

  • Conduct training with the project managers on entering a new requisition and entering a change order requisition, to increase funds on current purchase orders.

  • Work with the project managers on various conference calls assisting them with entering requisitions.

  • Advise project managers on short cuts when entering requisitions so that you may not need to recreate a requisition for a different project but using the same information on a previous requisition.

  • Assist project managers and development engineers with requesting quotes for project material, site services and various other items.

  • Support project staff and accounts payable with creating check requests and coordinate appropriate paperwork that accompanies these checks.

  • Monitor check requisition progress through the system ensuring timely delivery of requests.

  • Assist accounts payable team regarding overdue invoices.

  • Assist accounts payable to work with subcontractors regarding AIA invoices not matching internal records.

  • Working with project managers on obtaining and entering COs for the subcontractor invoices we have in the queue to be paid.

  • Assist project staff with various D365 issues to get the invoices thru the system.

  • Provide support as the Procore super user to assist staff with setting up projects.

  • Create new vendor setup with accounts payable.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience working as a construction project coordinator or in an administrative support role.

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with or experience supporting renewable energy construction projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple project deliverables and foster positive business relationships.

  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Primavera, PowerPoint, and Procore.

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing issued by resident state.

  • Ability to provide occasional on-call response beyond traditional business hours.
