What you will do

In this role, you will become a part of our international team of regulatory engineers and be responsible for activities which lead to and maintain international regulatory approvals and directives to allow the sale of Fire Detection products. You will manage all activities associated with obtaining and retaining regulatory approvals with regulatory agencies, including meeting legal requirements to place products into local markets. Additionally, you will provide support to currently marketed products by reviewing engineering changes, labeling, promotional material, product changes, and documentation for compliance, with particular attention to ATEX/IECEx, SIL, and other safety-related regulatory requirements.

How you will do it

• Maintain product technical files and ensure compliance with global regulatory directives and regulations
• Participate in national and international standards committees
• Provide regulatory engineering support to project teams
• Stay updated on applicable regulatory requirements and represent the company in standards committees
• Manage and maintain the European ISO Quality System and related systems
• Review and manage proposed device changes with regulatory agencies
• Oversee the approvals budget and provide regular forecasts

What we look for

Required:

• Experience with European or global regulatory requirements and working with regulatory agencies
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Advanced level of spoken and written English
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office
• Good problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Technical background
• Experience in the Fire/Security industry
• Project management skills with the ability to lead small teams
• German language skills
