Job Summary

A Senior Analyst role in the Compliance group within the Cable Law Department, supporting the development, implementation and ongoing execution of a variety of operational compliance plans. Areas of responsibility will be varied and evolving to address emerging compliance risks. These may include sales integrity and consumer protection, broadband programs and policies (e.g., data plans, copyright protection/anti-piracy), customer complaint analysis, and federal government contracts. Working on high visibility projects, the role requires cross-functional interactions with a diverse and changing set of stakeholders at headquarters and in the field.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data from various data sources in order to understand and assess business processes that are of interest to operational compliance. 

  • Reduce complex problems into piece parts in order to identify core issues, and interact with technical owners to interpret and evaluate root case analyses.  

  • Identify trends in compliance data, escalate concerns, and define requirements for new and enhanced compliance monitoring and reporting. 

  • Assess new offers submitted by the marketing teams for potential compliance risks, including the need for updates to customer approval scripts and/or rate cards. 

  • Review, analyze and report on customer and complaint data in support of ongoing investigations, litigation and other compliance matters.   

  • Manage and support regular sessions with business and legal stakeholders to review performance, discuss gap areas and enhancement opportunities, and establish action plans. 

  • Prepare materials for sessions, manage issue logs, and track mitigation and corrective actions, ensuring execution. 

  • Prepare presentations, background documents and reports for senior management reviews of performance in assigned areas. 

  • Conduct executive reviews of compliance status and hot topics and follow up on action items as needed. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications: 

  • At least 2-5 years of business analysis, process improvement or similar experience. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including data analysis in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and Smartsheet. 

  • Familiarity with data analysis workflows and reporting platforms, such as Alteryx and Tableau. 

  • U.S. citizenship required to support certain government contracts
