Job Description:

SCOPE: Functions as a point person/coordinator of services for oncologists and oncology patients. Promotes the smooth transition of patient care from entry into MBPCC system until completion of treatment and throughout follow-up process. Assists designated physician(s) in a variety of professional and paraprofessional patient care activities as specified and requested. Responsible for providing specialized care of the oncology patient. 

FUNCTIONS:

1.    Coordination of patient care services.
2.    Specialized nursing care of oncology patients.
3.    Phone triage.
4.    Patient education.
5.    Prep charts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Active LPN license in the state of LA.

Active BLS CPR.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing required.

Oncology or Urology experience preferred.
