The Markets Segment Reporting team within Markets Controllers supplies the LFO, businesses, and other senior management with analysis and insight into financial results and projections. Through this analysis, the team facilitates decision making to drive performance in each of Markets products globally across lines of businesses. The Markets Reporting and Analytics role is a lead analyst position responsible for coordination of Markets results through the financial close, 10-Q/10-K, earnings and press release in coordination with Global Product Leads and the Markets Controller. Additionally, the Segment Reporting Manager develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for financial reporting and analysis. The objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials contain meaningful commentary and to ensure proper review of Markets results

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the analysis of disclosures/footnotes for Markets Controllers as part of the 10-Q/10-K sign-off
  • Manage reporting and close activities, including analysis across Markets globally with interaction with Global Product Leads and Senior Management on a variety of topics such as Monthly Expense Review, Balance Sheet Netting and Commentary Coordination
  • Recommend goals, policies, and plans for specific business areas within the firm
  • Represent the firm in dealings with clients and external audiences
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in accounting management with commensurate stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent team leadership and partnership skills: ability to work with and influence senior management across both multiple levels of the organization and geographies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking; Critical thinker/problem solver that can drive qualitative & quantitative analysis, embracing ambiguity in available data & input.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
