The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is hiring a Product Design Intern on the Product Design Team. A successful candidate will engage with product management, engineering, marketing, and other Product Designers while helping develop the next generation of product capabilities. This opportunity offers the right candidate a chance to contribute to one of our key products in the FreeWheel portfolio and drive the future of the advertising industry.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of user-centric solutions that address our clients' challenges, improve their interactions with our products and meet our organizational goals.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand project requirements and user needs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to visualize user interfaces and product features.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather valuable insights and feedback for design iterations.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a user-centered and visually appealing final product.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in user experience and product design.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in user interface design, HCI, interaction design, visual communication/graphic design, industrial design or a related field preferred.
  • Strong passion for user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Majors: all majors welcome to apply.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Compensation

Base Pay: $30.00
