Your New Role…

This position reports directly to the Executive Director Eastern Region and is part of the WBDGS executive protection team.  The Security Specialist will partner with senior team members to plan and execute events associated with all WBD brands to include, but not limited to, premieres, film festivals, award ceremonies, conventions, townhalls, sporting events, newsgathering operations, etc.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Partner with business units to plan and coordinate security related needs for upcoming events. Draft threat mitigation and operations plan for Senior Executives and events. Work with management to determine and approve event security cost estimates and invoices. As reasonable, necessary or required, attend WBD events to understand and ensure all processes, protocols, and policies are followed, properly monitored and adjusted. Assist in maintaining the security plans and after-the-fact report database. Partner with support operations to gather and disseminate applicable threat intelligence related to any/all WM events prior to, during, and after each event.

  • Coordinate with business units across the enterprise, in-house security, and 3rd party security vendors to identify and select appropriate staffing for events. As necessary, liaise with applicable law enforcement and/or intelligence organizations and/or third parties to assist in managing potential threats.
  • In partnership with security leadership, identify, vet and approve security vendors that will provide operational support for WBD events.
  • Partner with leadership to identify appropriate processes, protocols, and policies to establish consistency for WBD events.

Qualifications & Experience...

  •         Minimum 10 years law enforcement or private security experience, 5 of which must be with specific experience in the conduct of executive protection, plan of events, and the execution of plans.
  •         Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  •         BA/BS required or 5 years applicable work experience.
  •         Substantial and high-level applicable training and experience in close personal protection and event security management
  •         Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  •         Possess strong computer skills, including the management of databases.
  •         Must have strong communications skills (written & verbal), the ability to work in a team environment, and ability to interact professionally with high level executives, celebrities, and government officials.
  •         Possess a current US Passport and must be able to qualify for a California Security license (Guard Card) as well as professional security licensing requirements in other states such as New York.
  •         Must be able to travel as required.
  •         Must be able to manage workload, coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and operate with a sense of urgency while maintaining a professional demeanor.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
