WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Box Product Operations team enables our product teams to create and deliver best-in-class products that delight our customers in an efficient, effective, and scalable manner. Achieving this goal is possible through the strategy and execution of a range of product programs, including Go To Market initiatives that ensure timely product releases, as well as the management and development of highly visible strategic programs.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop some of our highly visible and cross-functional product management programs. You are a natural leader and advocate who is motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys improving business processes to eliminate ambiguity. The ideal candidate should possess an exceptional blend of strategic and execution skills. They will be methodical, data-driven problem solvers who can also roll up their sleeves and dive into operational details to get things done. They will excel at facilitating actions, resolving conflicts, advocating for the program's success with all stakeholders involved, as well as managing through relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Working on increasing the efficiency of the product team by improving processes, standardizing planning, creating training programs, and managing status reports to ensure visibility among partners.
Tracking and regularly reporting key success indicators to measure the team's performance and effectiveness in achieving goals and delivering results.
Developing documentation, operational manuals, and best practices for implementing product strategies.
Directly managing large projects and coordinating actions between stakeholders to ensure adequate resources, execution, and communication that enable results.
Managing the stack of product tools used by the product team and optimizing it.
Collaborating with Product/Engineering leaders as well as leaders from other departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Support) in decision-making and initiative implementation.
Identifying and implementing disruptive changes (e.g., beta programs, phased models) in the product development process.
Supporting accountability and adherence to key processes and best operational practices.
Creating robust feedback loops within teams handling products, engineering, and customers/customer support.
WHO ARE YOU
5+ years of valuable experience in a program manager, project manager, product manager or operations role within a technology organization.
Advanced knowledge of software lifecycle management and version control.
Ability to simplify complex problems, remove obstacles, influence the entire organization, and support alternative approaches that lead to innovation within the team.
Excellent collaboration skills with experience in building effective partnerships within teams as well as across different areas (including senior leaders and cross-functional partners) for successful program delivery.
Ability to make sound decisions for organizational product development priorities over process considerations.
Balanced combination of forward-thinking mindset, ambiguity tolerance skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and patience for coaching others while maintaining high standards. Experience with Agile methodologies in a SaaS environment would be a significant plus!
