About the Role
The Solution Consultant Manager is primarily responsible for communicating the overall strategic, operational and technical strategy for new business opportunities with large firm resources. The Solution Consultant Manager works closely with leadership from sales, marketing, product marketing, sales enablement and product to understand strategic business issues to then empower solutions consultants to effectively communicate solution strategies. A strong consulting background is a requirement as is comfort with sales. Familiarity with the tactical approach of the sales methodology is a plus. The qualified candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of tax and accounting business processes, including audit.
The position influences business revenue growth in many ways. Solutions consultants influence sales revenue by providing customers, prospects and sales reps with technical information, advice, and demonstrations via on-site or web-based demonstrations, at meetings, sales seminars, trade shows or conferences. They influence the funnel of sales opportunities provided by the marketing division by coordinating product trainings, creating and delivering scripts and client-facing videos, highlighting current industry and customer trends, and reinforcing product features and capabilities to be utilized in campaigns. The product development team benefits from the client-facing nature of the position, as solutions consultants provide feedback directly from prospective and existing clients to influence long-term product roadmaps. The product knowledge and experience Solutions Consultants possess make them uniquely positioned to influence the education and development of the sales floor. Partnering with the sales enablement team, Solutions Consultants assist in creating training and development plans to ensure long-term sales success. Working with the customer proposition team, Solutions Consultants can offer valuable insights into customer and competitor trends that influence the overall strategy for our go-to-market plans. The solutions consultant manager will coordinate efforts across all these channels to influence revenue growth for the division.
In this opportunity as Solution Consulting Manager - Audit, you will:
Work with sales leadership to understand and convey overall selling strategy to solutions consultants
Manage and coach solutions consultants with a goal of continual improvement and career progression
Coordinate with Senior Solutions Consultant Manager on strategy for Audit in Tax & Accounting
Join and help define strategy for channel enablement along a specific focus area.
Coordinate strategy with other divisions where customer insights and experiences can
Provide valuable influence and drive revenue for the business unit
About You
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Prior Solutions Consulting experience a plus
Audit experience at a CPA firm a plus
Thorough understanding and knowledge of the tax, accounting and/or audit industry preferred
Leadership, training, coaching & demonstrating experience a must
Experienced presenter with effective listening, written and oral communications skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence others over the phone and in person
The ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ownership/professionalism/accountability - personal commitment to deliver on your responsibilities including extra effort where/when required
Aptitude for problem-solving, ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to problems
