Position Overview:

Boeing Finance Business Process Automation core team is currently looking for  an Associate BPA Solution Designer  to join their team in Bangalore, India for creating automation solutions.

The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is critical, as the role is expected to comprehend and transform existing business processes into automated solutions within short timeframes.

Interacting with subject matter experts (SMEs) from all areas of the organization, the role must leverage solution documents and information from SMEs while configuring automations, creating transparency and adhering to audit controls in a highly scrutinized environment.

The Solution Designer is seen as a SME and works closely with internal Project Managers to design, configure, and maintain the robotic automations using Blue Prism.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and configure business process automations per low-level design documentation to meet defined requirements. Comply with and help to enforce governance standards for design, configuration, and testing of processes. Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing.

  • Be a catalyst to change by demonstrating an understanding of existing processes and clearly depicting to subject matter experts (SMEs) that an automated solution is equal or better to facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) process. Maintain the flexibility to facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process, further enforcing your SME relationships.

  • Monitor, maintain, and prioritize break-fix solutions for implemented production projects to ensure that deployed bots are providing intended value for business teams.  

  • Prepare the necessary documentation to hand over automated solutions into business as usual (BAU) processes, enabling a stable production environment through adequate forward planning. Conduct walkthroughs with relevant persons to ensure the knowledge of others prior to final deployment.

  • Learns to apply and integrate current strategic initiatives into process improvement activities

  • Assist with coordination of reviews, assessments, and audits of business process.

  • Develop or assist with developing process standards, guidelines, methods and tools.

  • Provide support to teams to work within, integrate with or improve the existing process architecture.

  • Encourage the team to achieve architectural compliance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION

  • Experience negotiating the scope of solutions with stakeholders

  • Broad understanding of applications utilized within the Boeing Enterprise

  • Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution

  • Basic knowledge of business and finance processes

  • Proficiency in Blue Prism

  • Experience implementing automated solutions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Certification in Blue Prism or other robotics automation products (ex: Automation Anywhere) is required

  • Understanding or ability to learn of object-based coding

  • Ability to work independently, or in groups, as the lead participant

  • Ability to work well with project managers, vendors and end users in cross functional teams

  • Sense of urgency to meet agreed-upon project schedules

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, articulate, speaks and writes English well

  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment with competing priorities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to deliver on tight deadlines

  • Projects an image of professionalism and enthusiasm with a positive outlook

  • Proactive, persistent and dependable

  • Detail-oriented and thorough

  • Strong work ethic

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically  5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 4 years' related work experience.
