Job Overview:

The Director, Host Committee Relations for the FIFA World Cup 26™

is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring effective communication and coordination between the Host City Committee, FIFA, On Location and various stakeholders. The Liaison will facilitate the seamless execution of World Cup activities, ensuring compliance with FIFA guidelines and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Host City Committee and FIFA.

  • Facilitate regular meetings, updates, and reports to ensure all parties are informed and aligned.

  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with local authorities, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

Project Management:

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and execution FIFA World Cup 26™ in the host city.

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure objectives are met.

  • Coordinate logistics, including transportation, accommodation, and venue arrangements.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all activities comply with FIFA standards, local laws, and regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.

  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, community leaders, and sponsors.

  • Address concerns and issues raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively.

Event Support:

  • Provide on-site support during FIFA World Cup 26™ events to ensure smooth operations.

  • Coordinate with security, medical, and volunteer teams to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Assist in the resolution of any operational issues that may arise during the event.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sponsorship management, event management, sports administration, or a similar role. Experience with large-scale international events is preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong project management and organizational skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

    • Multilingual abilities are a plus. (English, French Canadian and Spanish)
