In this vital role for the Finance organization, the Executive Director of Financial Reporting will lead our Internal and External Reporting, and Financial Controls groups. This role serves as a key leading in the accounting organization and is a key governance resource across the company. The position will report to the Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and provide thought leadership and current best practices surrounding consolidation accounting, SEC reporting, ESG reporting, and controls.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead global consolidation process for financial reporting by preparing, reviewing and analyzing internal and external financial statements

  • Oversee the drafting, review and filing of all SEC reports including form 10-K, 10-Q, and other regulatory filings.

  • Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements. Monitor changes in SEC regulations and assess impact on the company’s financial statements.

  • Build and maintain relationships across functions, including business operations, general accounting, tax, treasury, law and HR to ensure timely communication and review of reporting matters

  • Coordinate limited and reasonable assurance over ESG disclosures with external accounting firms where required

  • Support and coordinate with teams managing our ESG reporting to ensure we’re working in a collaborative manner

  • Ensure SOX compliance in an increasingly complex and dynamic business and audit environment.

  • Work with global business and process owners to educate on an effective internal control environment and to provide support to ensure controls are designed and implemented.

  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the external auditor

  • Play an active leadership role in key cross functional committees including but not limited to the Financial Reporting Risk and Control Committee

  • Develop, coach, and mentor the team to reinforce a strong team culture and to assist team members in reaching their individual development and professional goals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree & 6 years of accounting experience OR

  • Master’s degree & 10 years of accounting experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of accounting experience AND

  • 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced finance executive with a finance, accounting, and/or internal control background

  • Experience leading external financial reporting

  • Experience in accounting organization of a large, global company

  • Governance skills and executive communication capabilities in dealing with all levels of management within the organization

  • CPA license (active or inactive)

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $237,258 to $297,889.
