Job Summary

This role will be responsible for Body parts for Body in White. Position will support development parts on vehicle life cycle: from new projects launch, passing by project maintenance to end of life. During the life cycle, it is required to take care of product quality improvement, cost saving initiatives as well as teamwork with other Nissan areas such as Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, other Design teams and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Body parts development: stamping and injected parts and the support for the overall vehicle performance;
  • Knowledge of flat steels properties and selection definition;
  • Knowledge of injected parts and material definition;
  • Improve product cost working with suppliers and relative areas;
  • Improve quality for components and system to increase customer satisfaction;
  • Support production issues with logical thinking based on Cost, Quality and Timing

Years of Experience:

  • Firm understanding of automotive technology and engineering practices, with hands-on background in the automotive industry.
  • Past professional-level experience in related engineering disciplines.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree on Engineering areas with focus on part’s development: Mechanical, Material, Mechatronics and related. 

Specific Course/Certifications

  • Written and verbal skills in English to allow correct understandings during technical communication. 

Travel Required?

  • Travel may be required both domestic (SP and RJ state: ~1 week x 4 times a year) and international (Argentina, Mexico and Japan when required).
