Overseeing technical aspects on either the A320 or F100 fleet, the Fleet Technical Manager is responsible for providing advice concerning aircraft technical matters, regulatory compliance, safety, and risk aspects pertaining to Network Aviation’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC). You will provide operational support to Pilots, Regional Operations Centre and Line Managers relating to aircraft technical operations, aircraft performance calculations, flight planning, Electronic Flight Bag and Aeronautical Publications.

This role will also see you take part in forecasting operational capability through analysing current and potential Airport, Aircraft and route assessments for your fleet type. This position is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy, currency and integrity of systems and software is maintained, to facilitate the safety and compliance of company flight operations. 

You will also maintain line currency as an A320 or F100 pilot, and conduct line flying operations as required.

You’ll have – 

  • Extensive operational line pilot experience operating in a High Capacity RPT and/or Charter operation 
  • Prior relevant experience in a key Flight Operations management role within an airline environment 
  • An Australian ATPL (A) , or an ICAO ATPL with the ability to transfer to an Australian ATPL, with a A320 or F100 Type Rating 
  • Training in aviation safety and aircraft performance 
  • Understanding of aircraft performance software and aerodrome planning requirements 
  • Strong technical flying knowledge and understanding of A320 or F100 aircraft operation 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, peers, and frontline staff 
  • Ability to show initiative and sound judgment when required to make decisions and gain cooperation 
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality 
  • Ability to analyse, problem solve and facilitate outcomes using data 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Flight Operations Policy and Procedures and Aviation Regulations (CASA, IOSA)
