Phlebotomist - Part Time Day

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, phlebotomy technicians thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Committed to care, our Phlebotomist can enter a room and bring comfort, calm and compassion. Join a team of Phlebotomists in a fast-paced hospital drawing blood for laboratory tests as requested by physicians in accordance with established procedures.

This is a part time day shift position with alternate weekends and rotating holidays.

6AM-9:30AM

Preferred Criteria

• Phlebotomy Certification from National Phlebotomy Association
• One year prior venipuncture experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to deal with patients pleasantly to minimize trauma to patients.

• Knowledge of principles of infection control and normal anatomy

• Must be able to function well under the normal pressures of hospital laboratory work.

• Possess effective communication and organizational skills.

• Possess computer skills appropriate for the position.
