POSITION SUMMARY
Leads and coordinates activities of teammates engaged in unloading trucks, receiving product, put away of product, replenishment, or product, picking product, sortation of goods and loading trucks. Ensures the smooth flow of operations.

• Be able to perform all the functions of a Distribution Teammate - Equipment operator and/or Specialist.
• Exhibit the willingness to expand their responsibilities.
• Maintain a solid attendance record.
• Willingness to flex work hours to DC needs.
• Be knowledgeable in all areas they will be leading others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tools/Equipment
• Proficient using RF/Voice Pick/Visual Pick technology to perform tasks.
• Proficient using manual and motorized Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.)
Leadership
• Assigns job functions to teammates according to shipping and receiving schedules and operational demands.
• Ensures accuracy of all shipping/receiving orders and documents.
• Trains or ensures the training of new teammates or retrains existing teammates in job functions.
• Studies production schedules and estimates teammate-hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets specifications and job orders to teammates and assigns duties.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Provide proactive performance feedback to teammates, assisting teammates, and providing coaching.
• Oversee and manage expedited product request as communicated to the warehouse.
• Work with DC leadership to execute initiatives to improve DC metrics & financial performance.
• Achieve assigned function KPIs (key performance indications) for Safety, Quality, Productivity & Turnover.
• Makes recommendations and implements customer service for assigned functions, resolving issues relating to service quality, pick/pack/ship requirements, and deliveries.
• Oversees assigned functions' adherence to company standard SOP's/WI's for warehouse management and transportation.
• Communicates with supervisors and or management team regarding personnel issues and day to day operations.
• Conducts team talks or start up meetings in conjunction with supervisors.
• Provides regular feedback to supervisors and managers on teammate performance.
General
• Can perform all the functions of a Distribution Teammate - Equipment operator at a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain a good standing rating within the organization.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
• Perform additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.) Equal to a high school diploma. Successful completion of all company warehouse training modules resulting in certification.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus.
• Warehouse/Operations certification a plus
• At least one year of O&M experience required; for external hires warehouse lead or supervisor experience preferred.
